That was cool

I like it. Just to help you out in future animations, when you animate a motion try animating the positions closer for a few frames, then spred them apart more and then closer again. A simple technique but your animations will come out having a more natural movment to them. Keep going.

tricolor responds:

Hey, thanks a lot for the advice. I will definitely take that into account (the different zoom shots, etc.)... I wanted to make it like a doodle, however, and I don't think zooming would have worked well until the end, where the guy takes the giant straw to his mouth.

Thanks a lot; I really respect your opinion, because your flash owns.

Peace

good stuff

This review pertains to everything you have done and this. Its good to see professional animators submit things. Your voice acting or who ever you have voice act does is on point. the voices matches all of your characters personality. and the quality is top notch. I'm pretty sure you record your stuff in a studio. or you just have a professional microphone. The animation itself is very fluid. hand drawn animation is always the way to go. I asume you animate it on paper and then scan it in. I really like the character designs...luigi looking and all. Backgrounds well done cnad colored nicely. How many frames per second do you animate?

Your are definitly an insperation to me being a fellow soon to be professional animator. I am going to school for animation and i will soon be posting top notch stuff also so look for me. at least i know there are some good animators on newgrounds. cant wait to see more.

Sykohyko responds:

Hey thanks man...ill be looking out for your stuff.....I have a forum on Hayasapictures.com and i would love for people involved in animation to joing the forum. So please check it out, Thanks!

Love it

I love the chrographed flash fights like this. they always look really cool. my i ask what frame rate did you animate this, cause it looked really smooth. cant wait for the next

Mottis responds:

Thanks.
Hehheh... I know this is gonna be hard to believe, but I used only 16 fps and I animate all frame by frame exept for the fade-in and -outs and some other extra stuff...

HELL YEAH!!!

You have really good cinimatography skills. the whole movie was ausome. You do need to work on making sure your dialouge isnt drowned out by SFX and music but other than that pretty sick man. im a big fan of zooming landscapes and free camara movments. and to do that in flash..........kudos to you. how many layers was that anyway? it must have been hell getting everything to work right. good job...I like it a lot....Want more.

BenSpurgin responds:

346 layers!

excellent

i loved that. i want more. nice touch with all the extra frame be frame animation you did in the back ground. 10's across the board. the existence of reality is clear to me now because of you...lol

BaconMask responds:

Thank you for those kind words! It's the little things like the guy and his son eating pizza in the background and the little ants crawling into the chicken bucket (I even animated the little legs) that made this one so tough.

too simple for me

where were you trying to go with this? it was kinda pointless and obvious. work on your concepts and story. i'll give you credit for actually finishing somthing in flash. but try to put a lot more effort into your work next time.

A17roolz responds:

You really don't get it? DO I have to spoon feed you people? I was making fun of the fact Mario uses TURNIPS to kill enemies in Mario 2. I thought the fact I said "It's a short" kinda gave away the fact it was a short. I give you people too much credit.

Really cool

Frame by frame animation......man. did you ever get stressed out over this? how long it actually took you to do this? it was really good. the fish in the face had me cracking up every time. the voice acting was done Very Very well, i just wish it was recorded with better levels, it would have made so much of a difference. Two thumbs up...you diserve it.

RogerregoRRoger responds:

nah i didin't get stressed..Sometimes a bit lazy tough to skip some hard scenes are not animated pieces..Only thing stressing is the dozens of reviews i later get talking about horrible animation and graphics :S

THe voice acting was done by 6 diffrent people on 5 idffrent pc's..So it got screwed up a lot..Tried to fix most of them tough, but they start getting buzzy then:S
Thanks for the review!

ok

first time ive seen crayon draings used in flash. good call for originality. the tv noice was low though. at certain points i couldnt make out some of the words. nice job though.

mr-a responds:

Thanks. I can make out the sounds perfectly on my computer, but it's probably just some sort of translation problem to your computer, or something like that. You could also try turning the volume up!
